WHAT IS CONSIGNMENT?

You have products that you want to get rid of... you can of course try to sell these products by yourself. But many people don't enjoy hosting strangers at home, waiting for an appointment that doesn't show up, or having to 'trade' at the door. That is why you can also offer your products for sale through others. Then you deliver the products 'on consignment' to the seller. The products then remain your property until the selling party has sold them for you. The moment the products are sold, you get the sales amount from the seller, minus a certain amount of money. This is often an agreed percentage of the sales price and is a fee to the seller for his mediation.

All agreements are recorded in a consignment agreement, such as:

• the percentage that the seller gets from the sale price (brokerage percentage)
• description products
• the selling price of the products
• insurances
• payout
• how long the products remain with the seller (duration consignment)
• transport to/from the sales location

We also work on consignment. Do you have furniture, home accessories and/or other beautiful items for your home that you want to get rid of, but you don't want to sell them yourself? If we agree, we will make an appointment when you can bring your items for sale to Het Packhuys. We then will use our store and expertise to sell this products for you. During the sale period you remain the owner of the item(s) and only when we have sold your item(s) do they become the property of the buyer. We will then pay you the agreed percentage of the net sales price. That way you don't have to worry, but do have the profit! We record this together in a consignment agreement.
